Ever seen a bird fishing? Using bread for bait? Me neither... at least until today when Skip Nantz shared this short video.

I've heard many people say that humans are the only species that uses tools. Others say that hominids are the only animal group that do. I've known this to be false for quite some time. Otters use rocks to open shellfish. Shellfish use other shells. Fish often are known to use tools, as are dolphins, for play, including the bubbles of their own exhalation. Ants lift, carry, and build with tools, and keep aphids as slaves. Spiders build traps. We seriously need to stop pretending we're so special or the only ones ever going to evolve towards intelligence.
